Well, its hard to grow up in a strict catholic home.
I have been raised to live life like the bible says I should.
And I think its the right way to live and that everybody
should live like that. But it aint easy. Because whenever
I visit this forum, this site popup: http://www.nopornallowed.com
I have no idea why, it all started when you upgraded the forum
and I clicked "yes" when the computer asked me if I wanted
to have the new features installed. Have you put some sort of
popup thing into the upgrade or what?
I need help, im going crazy here, if my mom sees this site
pop up she will punish me with a stick on my bottom. And
I can tell you that I dont want to go thru that again.
I remember the time she caught me looking at the lingerie
catalog, It was not funny to sit on my chair at dinner after that.
Please help me :(.

| same. i hate being forced to go to "church" when i don't believe in what they're saying. i mean i do believe in God, but i don't think that spending 1 hour of my time every week with the most conservative elderly people i've ever seen is going to bring me closer to God. |

| I recommend you call the police and tell them your parents molested you. Anything to get out of there. |

i agree with this
i see people complain about pop-ups because they might get caught, can't you explain to whoever sees it that it popped up from a music site and you didn't intentionally go there?
i never knew it was necessary for catholics to be beaten for looking at a lingerie catalogue :whip: |

Tell me about it :p I used to be revolted because not only my parents are extremely catholic, plus, my father is a military (is this how you say it? :toothless), so you get the picture of how I grew up :) However, today I'm kinda thankful for the education they gave me back in that time... even though I'm not a Christian anymore (the irony :D).

| Yeah I went to a Catholic school. I didn't really like what they were teaching there during religious education classes. Don't agree on all those strict rule and traditions that the Catholics follow. |

You need to get out of that house fast. Your parents are seriously screwing up. If you can't simply explain to your mom that a pop-up from a message board you visit, has nothing to do with you, then you got serious communication issues.
Its parents like that that ask themselves what they did wrong when they're kid turns 18 and explodes from years of suppression. |

it sounds like your just ting around.
but if not i know where your coming from. I'm from a catholic family, not one like yours tho.
My family is not nearly as stict as yours is (if your telling the truth). My parents don't give a flying if i look at porn on my computer. (infact they bought me playboy when i was younger :) )
they believe in the faith but don't necesarly adhere to the strict moral rules. but i went to a catholic school (which was pretty liberal when it comes to catholic schools), and i know how some of the families can be. (altho i have never met a strict family as bad as some of the ultra-christian families).
anyway, if this is such a big deal or whatever, go to www.download.com
and download opera. it is a web browser and it can turn off pop up ads. (go into the preferences and select the option where no more windows or instances of the program can pop up, i dont remember the exact name of the option right now).
or you can also download ad-aware from teh same site which will get rid of all adware on your computer. |
