Does anyone have any tips on how to create that classic Daft Punk synth sound. Like the one @ the start of Music sounds better with you,One More Time and most of Bangalters other productions.

I think its a basic Rhodes sound with a Flanger and Phaser over the top. Can anyone help. I'm using mainly Reason 2.0 & Fruity Loops.

Cheers

I think alot of the style of that sound comes from good volume and cut envelope tweaking. cause is rushes in and fades out quickly too.
I would set the resonance on the LP filter quite low, cause that sound doesn't have much of it.
That's all I can add

Rhodes is always a good idea for such a track, but I think a lot of sounds from those sorts of tracks are based on samples (i.e. from old disco records)

Its all about filters, and side-chain compression for that pumping sound.

Cheers for the feedback guys!

i have to agree...they may be samples, just mess around until the sound comes to you.

This page list off a lot of french house tracks and audio clips of the song they sampled. Music sounds better with you is taken from Chaka Kahn - Fate. http://datraxer.free.fr/daftcrew/samples/
The sound you're referring to may be in that clip.
