loops blow imo :p

It's much more fun making your own percussion loops, having the freedon to arrange them yourself, and tweak them as you please :)

Yes, I agree with that.

Get some kicks, snares, claps, hi-hats, lo-hats, tambourines, and experiment with arranging them, this way and that! :)

you would be amazed with how many good percussion samples there are on the net. if you are using reason, i suggest getting the refills PERCUSTUFF and PNS Dance Drum Kit.

couldnt agree more
im very surprised at the amount of producers i know who i just found out use loops, all this time iv given them good feedback, if i had known they used loops, i certaintly wouldnt have given as good feedback.

I love loops!
U just have to make em your own by adding percs and tweek around with em in your sampler.
I usally make the percs foundation myself then if it doesn't sound fat enuff I throw in a loop or two on top.

Everybody uses loops just as everybody samples kicks from eachother! ;)

Check out: www.bestservice.de for sample cdz!

I havent actually ever finnished a song with a (pre made/sample cd etc.) loop, ive played with em, but i didnt like the fact that i couldnt compress the drum on it's own etc.
I didn't have any freedom, and i didnt like it.

@ robstar, yeah, thats ok i spose :p, you're just chucking them over the top of your own percs ;). And anyhow, your signed, im not, your good, im not :stongue:, so who am i to argue ;)
robstar
As long as it sounds good m8, that's what it's all about. :)

WTF? I didn't know so many producers here use loops! Damn, that's so surprising, cuz I imagine most of the guys here arranging their songs for hours, and hours on end, sequencing each drum pattern. Well, whatever floats your boat, but I love the challenge of sequencing my own beats, and such. Just my opinion. -Mental

You don't have to use the loops as they are. I use loops all the time but I always rip them to pieces and rearrange them...
