An old style Numark TT-2's are about 169.99 US each, they don't have BPM diplay :) and they look better then the new line Numarks.

2.2kg of torque which beats techs 1200 @ 1.49kg

but I haven't seen any table come even close to techs when it comes to wow and flutter, 0.01 - techs, 0.13 numarks tt-1 or tt-2

Peace

Nothing wrong with sony 700's almost everyone uses them. But what you should really do is this. Go to radio 7 bloor radio (I think that's what it's called) bring your cd player and test out all the headphones that are there, that way you'll know which ones are the most comfortable.

Sony have low OHM @ 24 therefore they're very sensitive and don't need much power to get sound, some people like that some people don't. Also check out AKG headphones.

You might want to reconsider the Vestax PCV-175.

If you have the money, go for the 275.

You can't hear EQ changes in your headphones with the 175, which I find is very inconvenient. I've heard that the sound quality is also not as good as the 275, plus some other things I forgot about. Check out the DJ Booth forum here, there are alot of people who can help you out.

PS. I ordered a stanton pack from djgear.com and I had to pay about 175.00 CND for shipping. I didnt think it was too bad, considering the box weighed 60 lbs.

Nothing wrong with the headphones except the fact that I find them too heavy and too uncomfortable, and I'd never spend my money on them... but then again, it's just me, and there are tons of people and DJs that use them and find them to be great for whatever reason (yeah, yeah, they look kinda cool too, ya en wannabes)...

And that's a pretty good price for new gear, but then you gotta consider the cost of shipping (a few hundred $$$) and customs fees (another few hundred $$$)...
