| Personally, I think the arcade started dying out after they started charging 4 quarters to play certain arcade games, Back in the old days, Arcades were only 1 quarter and you would have, Say, 5 bucks worth in quarters to play this one game til you beaten it, Nowadays, Games have goten more complex and your wasting even more quarters due to the fact that you have to put in 1 dollars worth in quarters just to play the dam games or continue where you left off in the game. |

| Actually, The Arcade is dying cause the Technology for gaming Consoles and PCs are advancing beyond what arcades could do. |

Game genres that I dislike dominate arcades now with huge, costly, and, for me, boring games.
I still visit arcades, but only those that have either classic games, or, my personal preference, pinballs, especially the mid-90's neo-classics by Bally/Williams like Twilight Zone, Addams Family, Dirty Harry, and a cast of dozens.
Sadly the number of places that even have pins, let alone maintain them has dwindled mightily. Even the occasional good machines that are put out by Stern aren't picked up by most places. |
