i was just watching tv and i saw that "spam" ham commercial on tv... i never thought it was real... bloody hilarious!!!

| does anyone know the story behind the name? i think it's pretty funny & genious to name your ham "spam", considering the amount of talk advertising spam gets on and offline |

It's the other way round actually. In one of those films from Monty Python (Is this how you spell it?), there was this restaurant in which they would add spam to anything you ordered (e.g. if a costumer ordered french fries, he would get french fries with spam). Then, the expression "spam" was born ;)
