My Exclusive Interview with Dave Swayze!

Many of you may know Dave Swayze's productions since they have been supported by djs such as Paul van Dyk, Tiesto, etc. I had a great opportunity to chat with Dave and and asked him some questions, I, and probably all of us are interested in finding out:

1. How is the electronic music Scene in Belgium?

We are in a turbulent period at this moment..but we still' have
lots of great clubs and events around the place where the people
can enjoy themselves..

2. How did you get into electronic production? Was
there any artists that inspired you?

By the age of 16 , i started a show on a local radiostation in Northern France where i had the opportunity to play the latest electronic stuff.
Artists like Paul van Dyk & Oliver Lieb have inspired me a lot when I
was young..they gave me an interest in producing my own records.

3. What artists continue to inspire you today?

Artists like Paul van Dyk, James Holden, Hybrid, Lemon8, Pole Folder & CP, Nick Muir, 16B and many more..

4. What are your upcoming music projects and what can
we expect from you in the future? Will you ever work
on an album?

This summer i'm releasing my second travel EP introducing one new track and on the flipside a remix of sunstroke. For what concerns an album i'll just wait and see what the future brings.

5. How would you describe your style?

Progressive minded electronic music combined with little fragmentle
pieces of melody..

6. Have you ever Dj'ed in the U.S. and what was your
most memorable Gig?

Nope sorry - My most memorable Gigs are situated in a Club La Bush
where i always get to play for a wondefull crowd who are still' enough openminded and where i simply can do my thing..

7. How long have you been dj'ing and producing?

It's been over 11 years now i've began spinning vinyl..
About 9 years ago i've started to produce records but didn't
had time enough to go on with it because of my studies.
Now it's been 3 years since i've restarted to produce and
i think i will stay around for a while longer..

8. Personally, what track of yours do YOU enjoy the most?

One of the productions that I'm most satisfied with is of course
'Travel ep' the record that pretty much has put me on the map to
where i'm at today.

9. One of your tracks was titled "Yasmines Garden." Who is Yasmine?

That's a good question..let's just say i'll leave it up to your
imagination..

10. Do you mostly dj in Belgium and within Europe?

My Gigs are mostly situated here in Belgium and France but lately I've been receiving a few international gigs so normaly
you should be able to see me soon in a club near you..?!

*Any other informaion you would like to include would
be great and beneficial for your fans.*

I would like to thank the audience for their continuing support and
hope to come over in the U.S. pretty soon..! And Special thanks to Mr. Suneel Basra aka VisionsofPVD for setting up this interview..
