I'll agree with this method as tried and tested. It sounds VERY strange, but has worked for MANY people numerous times.......google search it!

so true, for mine i had a copy on 2 pc's that where networked in my house, a floppy backup and a backup on a usb memory stick, as well as emailing it to a hotmail account once a day

Dublin Guy a cd writer costs £30 for a cheepo 4 speed one, blank cd's cost from 15-50p depending on where you buy from and how many, you should really backup everything in general, harddisks are not 100% reliable and errors and data loss does happen from time to time.

I accidently formatted the "wrong" disc here a couple of months ago... Lost some 20% of my tracks and important personal files. Used a program which recovered it all! Except for one thingy, the mp3's didn't work... No sound, so I guess recovering MP3's is just for getting the hang of what tunes you actually had. :)

my 40x decent cd writer cost £40. Theres really no excuse not to hav one. especially when u have data as important as ur school work. i guess uve just learnt the hard way.
