sounds about right. this is too much of an open ended question. too many tracks out there i guess.
chicane's saltwater as the closing tune would be too much unless the dj was planning to give an encore. it would leave you with wanting more. doh. |

Uh... no. ACTR screwed up when they re-released Cloudwalking with the Beat Pusher remix. People complained because it wasn't the mix they were expecting (the one Tiesto, AvB, etc. had played). ACTR admitted that they pressed the wrong mix -- what they said was the Original Mix was in fact the Astral Mix. When it came time to re-release the mix that everyone wanted, they couldn't exactly call it the Original Mix again when it was clearly different, could they? So it became known as the Astral Mix on the Unreleased & In Demand EP.
The point is, according to the original vinyl the mix everyone played was the original and not the Astral mix.
Besides, the real Astral mix... the one on the Beat Pusher remix vinyl... sounds like an Astral mix (the high end is tweaked). What it comes down to is: unless ACTR got the original vinyl labelling backwards, the mix on Magik 6 and AvB 002 is the original. |
