For splitting, I use a program called "HP Split" I think. Works very well.

Thanx for the recomendations I was mainly looking for a program to add track splits to live sets it gets tedious having to fast foreward 40 min. to get to parts you like.

If anyone knows of other programs as well please post.

Cool MP3 splitter seems to work pretty well for me...

If all else fails, you can always resort to soundforge, but that might cost you a pretty penny.

Oh, splitting a live set is somewhat easy with Cool Edit Pro 1.2-2.X If you know anyone with it, or you can buy it for ~$200, look at this website.

are you kidding me? HJ split blows for splitting mp3s unless you just want to make big files smaller for downloading.

try mp3directcut (freeware and non-bloated for win32):

there's other features too, such as normalising and recording.

I use Goldwave... Split, filter(pop, hiss), edit, whatever. Very nice lil app.

I use sound forge. It lets you cut music any which way you want and I save it as a wav file. There may be easier programs out there, but I've used sound forge for about 3-4 years and its really easy. You just cut and paste and save...
