Two places come to mind, both pseudo-Italian:
One being local Grand Rapids place called Pietro's Backdoor Pizzaria, little pricy, but their toppings and stuff are friggin' mint, they have everything, roasted garlic, artichoke, sun dried tomatoes, salami, and something like 6 different kinds of cheese.
Their 'Chicago Style' deep dish and stuffed pies are better than anything I've had in the windy city....
Local Kalamazoo place also comes to mind, little hole in the wall called Martini's that makes some of the best veggie lasagna around and also throws in a huge salad and two loafs of bread with your meal, great stuff.
Fast food though...not really a big fan of fast food. My favourite chain is probably Ontario native 'New York Fries' (entertainingly the chain seems to disappear as soon as you hit New York state) just because I'm a 'throw everything imaginable onto fries and give them to me, for BREAKFAST!' kind of person :tongue2 |

But no, seriously, my mom does cook the best food this side of the hemisphere. North American food, South American, food from all over Europe, oriental (not to stereotype Chinese), Indian, African, Carribean... The list could keep going...
