hello everybody, what's up?
i've decide to make a cool mix with a few tracks so that i could post it in this site when it's done, and i need some advice...
those of you who have allready done mixes at home threw their pc, i want to ask you if you could tell me what is the best unproffesional
software for mixing?
i mean it has to be easy to use & look good, but still have alot of features & options to mix with...
it has to record on mp3, and be free of charge without any limits like atrial period or not be able to save & stuff...
i hope you got my point and thanks to anyone who helps!
another request of mine is if you could tell me names of softwers that can record tracks on mp3 without the lyrics on them, meaning a software that just leavs the melody & of course do the opposite thing...leave just the lyrics without the melody
again with no limits etc. etc.
tnxx for all of your help!!!

I don't quite understand what you're looking to do with this software you're after, but I'd really recommend you search the "Production Studio" forum to answer any questions you have on software. There's plenty of threads there on what software you can use.
As for splitting out the vocals from a track... it's nearly impossible (or perhaps even totally impossible). |

| If you're just trying to make a mix set of tracks, then you should chose between AtomixMP3 or Traktor. Both are great for beatmatching tracks and recording the live set as you do it. Hope that's what u wanted to hear. |

Hrm... I think what you're asking for might be hard to come by.
I know there is software out there that you can use to edit tracks to remove certain frequencies of the song. Vocals, as an example tend to exist in the more middle range of the wave spectrum (not sure the exact numbers). The only way you can remove the vocals from a track is to use software to take out that frequency. However, in doing so, you could also be cutting out another portion of the song that also exists at that frequency. (A mid-frequency melody for example)
The same case goes for removing synths, any bass lines, drums... etc. It can be done, but it might muddy the song you are trying to mix quite a bit.
Anyone know any specific software names? |

You could try sampling a loop of the song and then inverting it, then play that loop over the same sample but one containing the vocals. The two waveforms should cancel each other out and leave you with the vocals.... theoretically of course.
Basically though, there is no way of removing the vocals from a song. Only the person with all the seperate channels would be able to do this perfectly.
p.s. is this thread a joke?
seriously? |

I think he was referring to the ZeroWing flash-parody cartoon... Not any specific dance song. |
