Precisely what i was discussing with other dj's
The fact that Tiesto made it doesnt mean ..should warrant a purchase if and only if its worth it
Tracklisting is good...but when a dj makes a compilation cd...the mixing has to be impeccable...this is a terrible cd imo` |

The tracklist looked promising but this one goes straight to the trash bin... Anyway, here are some random thoughts...
CD1:
The first four tracks kill the disc one for me. I don't understand what the hell are technoish tracks like 'Obsession' doing in this compilation when rest of the stuff is pretty much melodic trance... The new Tiesto track isn't anything special ufortunately. 'Electronic Malfunction' is one of lamest tracks I've heard in a while, sounds very amateurish. 'Mistral' ends things nicely, though. Still a very uneven cd IMO.
CD2:
Well, it's better than disc one, that's for sure. There are some really nice tracks (e.g. Beautiful Things, Requiem For A Dream) in this cd but some of them are fairly old. This cd could have been a winner if it had been released in January... Before listening to Nyana I was also thinking that Motorcycle's 'As The Rush Comes' alone would make this cd worth buying but it's mixed too short so you can't enjoy it that much. Bummer... |
