Pros & Cons of buying dj equipment?

Im thinking about finally starting to DJ, sooooo then I get to thinking what do you guys think? Was there any regrets about doing this? (i.e- takes up too much time, too much money, etc.) Or what are the advantages of now having all the equipment?

^^^ Thats what I figured too! Because if you wanna keep up too date plus get all the vinyls from songs from the past, Uh OH,,, I can tell alot of money will be put into this hehe

Vinyl can become very addictive. You can spend anywhere from $6-$12 on just one song. (Lots of different remixes of it.) And double records can cost you even more, when you only really want to use 1 remix on the record!
But alas, you just HAVE to have that new tune. So the money quickly slips away from you. ;) |

wow that must have taken quite awhile.....
now back to the DJ thing.
PROS:
you get to have fun.
not too many people do it so i guess you can impress chicks or your buds
you have yet another thing to do if you get bored
you can make money from it sometimes
CONS: costs alot of money
takes time to learn/ might lead to frustration
PS: i personally dont have tables but thats only cause i dont have the money to burn. if i was crazy rich, or just had a decent steady job + time id probably have tables. sports in highschool take up lots and lots o' time. maybe time should be under cons too

pro: impress ur friends, reduce stress from job/school, relaxes you :)
con: ur gonna be broke, and keepin up w/ new tunes are headaches :( |
