| now when people say "mix breaks" thats refering to mixing the song in after the trance song has "broke" down. Which would yield in a more up lifting mix. Am i correct in what I have just assumed? |

no, mixing breaks is mixing break beat songs. |

The excercise I use most often is trying to keep two songs matched as long as possible. Sometimes, I will move the pitch around on one, and try to rematch the beats quickly. Or I will pick up the needle, and set it down randomly on the record and try to match it up.
Challenge yourself, and you will get really good :) I'm dead serious, the harder you make it on yourself, the better you will become!

| just put 2 records on, doesnt matter what they are and match them. Do it again, again, again, again, and again till you got it. Then you may move on to the next 1 where you will try again, again again again and again... Beatmatching is THE hardest things to learn... |

I am wondering if anyone has some simple exercises I can do to practice just beatmatching? I am thinking about just putting on records and beatmatching to perfection over and over again... but I was wondering if someone had thought up something more creative/fun?
I am pretty good at it, but it takes me an incredibly long time to get it "just right" so I dont have to worry about it while I am making my transition. I figure |
i know one;
song "a"-- in da club (50 cent)
song "b"-- will i ( ian van dahl )
good luck |
