I've just learned of the Rise 2 Festival coming again. I didn't go to the first, nor do I have much info on this one, but from what I do know, I figured you guys would want the info...

Rise 2...
MINDCHIMEPRODUCTIONS

Indorr/Outdoor event. Over 145 DJs and 10 live performances! from the US, UK, Austria, Canada, and Germany!

May 24th noon through May 26th, noon....48 hours straight!!

:eyes: --->13 dollars for tickets!! This includes camping, since the closest hotel or store is about 15 miles away. Coolers with food and drink ARE ALLOWED!!

DJ lineup, directions to site, and tickets will be available on May 1st.

I honestly have no clue what type of music this will be, but I read up on last year's Rise, and apparently it lived up to what it sounds like! This sounds so nice. 48 straight hours of electronic music, no matter the type. :tongue3

I'll update when I find out the DJs who are gonna be there!:D

I just found on the mindchime site that last year the event was held in Deland. Since the little picture of the woman with cooking mitts says "Central Florida" I assume it will be in the same place.

Deland would be sweet. Not an 8 hour drive for anyone.:D

i think i heard about this last year. its not really any big name djs (atleast i don't remember it being), but it still sounds like a nice get away for the weekend! would be awesome if we got a whole bunch of tas to this, a whole bunch of beer, and just chilled all weekend. :D

^^^Not a bad idea.

I'm looking at the pics from last year's Rise and apparently our very own FLTA, Lil-B spun a set. Suzy Solar threw down also. Huda Hudia was there, Eros, and some more that I knew that were mainly local. Theory did a live set.

The guy from Mindchime says there are gonna be bigger acts this year, but still have mad local DJs, which is good, definatly.

Hows a TA chill weekend sound? bring tents and coolers of...uh, Kool-Aid;) just chill. Anyone else down?

I went to the first Rise, which was Memorial Weekend 2001. It was alright. I went with a small groups of friends and we ended seeing a crew of people we see at parties all the time! We even stayed in the same hotel! :haha:

It was a good experience. If you got nothing else to do, you should check it out.

Personally, I'll be skipping it this time because of Magical Maydaze in Miami. But to everyone else, have a good time! :toocool:

- Yeah I was so let down knowing that Magical Maydaze is 30 bucks.. and if this Rise 2 is 13 bucks, with some decent line up, would be worth it for a great time with friends and TA's.:D

But with Maydaze, you know the DJ's/acts that are going to be there is worth it. Either way, have a good one!

Ye I know, I just dont have the bucks now to go to all that.. prom and crap coming up so.. that tightens up my decisions:(

I just can't make it all the way down to Miami for Maydaze. I would soooooo rather go to that! I missed all the DnB DJs at Ultra and would love to see them again, plus X-boys and Rhazel!!

But I'm short on cash, and the trip is about twice as far. And Miami and I aren't on good terms right now:rolleyes:

So if I can get some people to come out to Rise with me...:D

So, I'll post up the DJs AS SOON as I find them out. But as a preliminary thing...who could be down? We'd be camping, not staying in a hotel!! And the site confirms that it is 13 bucks. So, anyone not making it to Maydaze wanna go chill?
