holy crap the tracks the whole niight were smoking..but the crowd was lame....for some reason it was only the TAs dancing (and 2-3 others) :rolleyes:
someone remind me not to go for these kinda parties everagain |

| That's unfortunate...I had a great time at the College University year end bash at Tonic/System....kinda an eerie feeling being in system. Not very busy at all but Tonic was great |

scumfrog was at the docks as well last night and tatgirl left early to catch him...im sure she had a better time than most of us...
we tried to make the best of it anyways...really amazing tracks....if i could get teh names of all those tracks dropped, if be 10x a happier man..its just the crowd that ruined it all |

That was the best Monday party that I have EVER been to!! Oh wait its the only Monday party i've been to. As result, all things considered, it was worth it.
Was my second time seeing Max but it had been a couple years. And I have to admit despite the chilled vibe of the Gold Club Lounge he displayed to me what all the hype is about. Makes me wanna hit up his next party here when the crowd is more energetic. Not to mention myself who was more laid back than normal (read: sober).
The electricity started to flow through the crowd as soon as he mixed in the words "LETS GET UP AND LETS GET ILL" at the perfect moment. Playing Street Carnival a few songs later would have destroyed the dancefloor... if there was one. He then went into housier stuff with the classic tune "Big Fun" (artist?). All in all it was pretty housey with some funky tribal, some breaks with a sprinkle of mood setting trancey soundscapes.
It was great to chill, party and joke around with Tranceaddicts in da house. Was suprised to see so many... respects to all.
**Edit** I have to correct myself .. this was the second best Monday party ... Orkidea at Alto Basso was incredible. |

Weird business going on in the TDOT last night. 2 - count em 2 - free parties (Gold Club vs Smirnoff) going on in the city featuring sick DJs. Luckily for us Scumfrog didn't make it due to some rampant virus going around in the city :conf: . Otherwise I'd be one upset TA missing the ScumFrog. |

I had an awesome time! I wasn't expecting a full club of people jumping around (and how can you with a dress code). But there was a lot of people enjoying themselves especially Max (Isn't he dreamy?:D ).
Nice meeting Andrew and his friend Kyle. Nice hanging out with Az (for the 2nd night in a row! :eyes: ).
Thank Nat for getting us the passes. And thanks to tw1ch for keeping the entertainment going the whole night. |

Don't worry guys- Scumfrog was a no-go at the Docks. Supposedly, he & his mgr sent me emails in advance, but I never received them (and it is not the 1st time that has happened between us). Itikia and I went over for all of 15 min's and came back. Place was packed, free to get in, and it was a guy's dream come true- falling-down-drunk girls EVERYWHERE!!!! LOL! Smirnoff did the place up nice, visuals were excellent, but the sound was... meh! They had some DJ from Vancouver instead. We went back to the Guv, Ari went home, I went back in.
The party at the GC was fun mostly cuz of the company I was with. The pre-meet up at Fionn MacCool's was great- tables of people from Max's board, Tribe & TA. A few more TA's made it to the event (tranceaddict invades the GC Lounge!). From what I heard of Max's set, there were elements of house, techno, trance, and old skool tunes. I don't think he was out there to impress as much as he was there to have a good time & mingle, which is all good. After all, it was a Mon. nite, and it was free. He spent a lot of time on the floor talking to and meeting new people. It was amuzing to watch him gradually switch from drinking champagne from the flute glass, to chugging straight from the bottle :haha: Adi closed out the evening afterwards with some pumpin' tunes, and the remaining people from our group had plenty of people to make fun of in our vicinity, whether it was that dancing girl in the leotard, or tw1tch who was drunk off his ass (but still sober enuf to not be convinced to give me a lap dance, LOL!).
It was a fun time- glad everyone could make it. |

| I had a good time last night, despite the the lack of partyness in the crowd. As mentioned, it was more of a mingle party, not really a dance-your-ass-off party...but some of the tracks Max dropped were REALLY INFECTIOUS! (Needless to say all the TAs there were shakin it) DJ El Kay Dee and Infinity High I got to meet and chill with for the first time. Time2Burn, it was fun getting a chance to hang with you too. Stereoprincess it was also nice meeting you! Thanks tatgirl for hooking me up, it was worth it despite having to get up early today. I wish I could have stuck around a bit longer and maybe get to meet Max Graham, that would have been cool. |

I dunno- I just found out about it at 10:30pm last nite myself! I looked on Smirnoff's site, and didn't see anything about it either (www.mysmirnoff.ca). There were buses and limos galore outside the Docks- I hear they bussed people in from the States too. |
