Corporate Trance

Hey guys,

So, with all the complaints about the club scene becoming too corporate, I thought some of you might find it funny to hear about my efforts to make the corporate world more club-like.
I do multimedia presentations for big corporations like banks, etc. These presentations get used for big shareholder meetings and such - basically huge rooms filled with investment bankers, CEO's, president's of companies, etc.
Anyhow, it's always a struggle finding good instrumental tunes to use, until one day it occured to me that my trance collection was filled with great stuff.
So far, I've used For an Angel, Seven Cities, all the Gouryella tracks, and a few others. There's nothing more surreal than blasting a huge anthem in a room full of bankers and having them all comment later about how great the music was!! I'm playing the thing, sitting there in a suit, and all I can picture is glowsticks, hands in the air, lasers,etc...just a mind altering experience.
So, if you start to notice that the average age range at the clubs is starting to rise dramatically, you know who to blame.:)
See ya!

That's awesome! I hope to be able to pull that off that one day if I have to make crazy presentations :p

i was suprised at how many people actually like trance when they hear it for the first time.

my parents for example... i thought would hate it, but hey say it sounds kinda like classical music sometimes.

Hahha, nice dude =)

thats excellent...

i have put several tracks including stuff from william orbit, BT etc in presentations in school as background aids...and get people askin me the names of the tracks afterwards :)

Now I don't feel so bad 'corrupting' my students.

This is really cool. What is the age range of the people that you do your presentations too?
obe
The age range is about mid-twenties all the way up to the sixties and beyond. I keep hoping somebody who's into the scene will be at one of the meetings and recognize the tune. I'm sure there's a few young corporate types that wear suits all week and then cut loose on the weekend that would just be blown away hearing some PVD blasting at a boring meeting one day.

I feel like such a rebel - forcing these boring suits to listen to some good tunes for a change.

If I can convert even one person, it'll all be worth it.

Glad you guys got a kick out of this.
