Club Spooge/Floor Funk ...
|

Every single time I go to a club, the funk manages to find its way onto my clothes in the wierdest places ... it's like I'm swimming in it, and the bottom of my pants are starting to turn permenantly black.
Anyway what's the best method to get rid of it? I've tried Zout and repeated washings all to no avail. Anybody got a better method? |

| I haven't been to any electronic music clubs yet, due to age restriction and my refusal to goto all ages so far. And so I must ask...what is this "funk"? |

Essentially regardless of the weather, how many people are there, location, etc, there is this slime that kind of builds up on the club floor. It's not slippery but it's this layer of gunk that manages to get on all your clothes. If you sit down ... it gets on your ass, if you're just dancing it'll start staining the bottom of your pants, and then it'll appear at random places that you have no clue how they got there. Then when you try to wash your pants nothing happens. The stain is there for life. It's gotten so bad I have my club clothes and then regular clothes. I never wear my club clothes outside of clubs because they are all stained and nasty, and I don't wear regular clothes to clubs because I don't want them to get dirty. |

here we call it "raver sludge"
the crap that's on the floor of a club or rave venue after people have been dancing, it's the worst in wet weather, since people's shoes are wet and it makes the floor absolutely gross
and i don't know how to get rid of it as well
the funniest thing, my friend was all messed up at the club, he went to lean on the wall and bailed
he was covered in raver sludge
it was funny |

| There MUST be a way to remove it because I see people with immaculate pants and what not at the clubs I go to. Unless they all buy new pants every weekend ... the cure is out there somewhere. |

they are what we refer to as "chauchi"
they don't go to the clubs to dance, they go to look cool
which is why they have the "freshly pressed" or "freshly dipped" look
i couldn't care less about them or being all immaculate
i go out to have fun, and if i'm not comfy i don't have fun
so when i go out, i dress comfy... jeans, t-shirt/sweater, running shoes, etc...
so i'm not too worried about my gear getting messed
it adds character ;) |

hahahah...talk about the sludge..thats why u gotta stick to black pants as far as possible..i wore a grey pant once and a khaki pant...no way are those in stains goin...and as for how u get them in anywhere on u??..heres the simple explanation..
sludge covers floor
people dance on floor...
after buildup, people jump...
sludge sticks to shoes and gets ballistic on elevation
thereby falling in the wierdest places..
mostly behind u |

| the thing that i use that has gotten every stain out of my cloths is oxyclean...i use it as a pre-treater too...mix it with a small amount of water, not like the package says lol, and put it directly on the cloths...put it in the washer and add two scopes of it directly in your washer. then add detergant and a colorsafe bleach. if that doesnt work then im assuming your screwed. im a mom with messy kids so i know all about stains. lol:) |

Well normally I would agree, I'm only there to dance not look pretty. But some of my pants are starting to look downright foul. And I can't help but feel dirty with those huge ass stains no matter how many times they are washed. Perhaps I shall try this oxyclean stuff ... I'll trust the opinion of a mom :). If that doesn't work maybe I'll just paint my pants clean. |

It's sweat.
You dance, you sweat, your sweat enters the club atmosphere, it mixes with dust particles in the air which make it sink to the floor where it mixes with cigarette ash, mud from shoes, all kinds of . The better airconditioning the club has, the less floor gunk you'll get.
The gunk in Gatecrasher is the worst I've seen anywhere, it's like tar :D |
