the scene is pretty much techno and house in Melbourne.. every now and then we'll get a good trance dj in town but im too young to go and see em.. Room 680's a funky club who have some good progressive djs.. but yea... most clubs are r'n'b and commercial bull

yerp lots of commercial and house and crap in melbourne hehe
but then we also get some of that nice nuNRG and hardish house sounds...see like Frantic @ Dome, BassStation and Hard Kandy nites...so yeh its not all bad i guess
and then we do manage to get a nice flow of djs comin...
this weekend its like a GodsKitchen event, agnelli+nelson, nick sentience, john 00 flemming, humate, guy ornadel...hehe me personally gonna go see Dave Clarke :d |

hmm...lotsa clubs/pubs been doing the housey stuff here too :(:(:(
it's not bad, just i prefer if they played something more interesting...not that it's isn't interesting, just not my cup o' tea :D
actually one of my friends is a house dj...but i'll try to convert him to trance in the holidays, when i can catch up with him LOL heheeh!! :p:p:p:) |

And yeah i spose it could represent Adelaide & having lots of churches.
I got no idea what the clubbing scene is like in Adelaide...I'm only 17! :( You'll have to ask bendy...i know he's a bit of a clubber. :)
Whats the scene like in Sydney? I am thinking of going on a holiday in November or December this year and was wondering where the best trance clubs in Australia are?? I can't affordto go overseas....well yet anyway. :( |

I've got my Gods-Kitchen Tour on Wednesday the 13th. I can't believe on it's on a weekday of all days...grrrrrr. I might have to try and swap a shift with someone I think... |

I `m form Australia , I use to live in Brisbane and all they play is that ty House but I think its going to change soon there will be Trance one the way . For those that live in Syndey do they still have that radio ST Willed FM I think it was called that ? Hey theres a sample of my work in the Amateur DJs & Music Producers Promotion if you want to have a listen . |

nah, the stupid aba hasn't said what they're doing :p...it's called wild fm...there's a brissy station too, but i'm not sure if they're still on.
the frequency that wild used (96.9) is now the one that nova uses (the one dmg paid some huge amount for 1.5mil?? not sure)
that was more dance music...and was getting even more poppier each time they were on air...sure they played some good stuff, but the pop seemed to be getting more air in their later broadcasts :(
there was also a few other stations trying out for the same license (i think a few ethnic ones, a gay/lesbian one, and a couple more dance ones)...wtf do gays need their own station!?!? it's not like it's a different type of music or language they speak...just want their own radio...wtf!?!?!
actually, nova does play some trancey stuff every now and then (so what if it's only the above & beyond what it feels like for a girl ;) hehehe!! ahh but sat. nights they have a decent mixup program...tho last sat. they had r'nb **** playing...arghghghghg!! i hope it doesn't continue :mad: hahehaha!!

btw Wild FM is 95% Hi-NRG and cheese, not really worth listening to in my opinion! |

any good club nights in Melbourne for trance?
Here in Sydney to hear trance you usually have to hear hard house/techno and its like 75% hard stuff, 25% trance :( |
