| well i use total recorder for any audio recording pruposes....all i do is play a dvd on my pc or input the vcd to the lien in and record...its so simple |

| use virtualdub, that will rip the sound straight out into a wav |

wow!! virtualdub was so quick.was able to download and rip the file i wanted in under 5 minutes.thanks for the info killa!!and thanks to everybody else for their help also.
