:haha: :stongue:

You just noticed this?

Why do you think there are so few women on this board? Tons of females that listen to trance also listen to hip hop, HHC, dress like ginas or ravers or have junglist friends/boyfriends (i.e. dress/talk like thugs). People can't even accept trance and progressive house at the same time, it has to be one or the other.

People really need to lighten up! It doesn't matter how you look or talk or dress or what music you listen to or where you're from, what matters is how you treat other people!

That wasn't about cultural intolerance, it was about people makin' asses of themselves. :p

I wasn't referring to you specifically though, you were only 2% of the insanity. Well, maybe 10%. :p

alrite .. this thread is really getting stupid now and i feel bad myself for even starting it in the first place.

the whole idea was to place an emphasis on the attitude that these people carry but i realize that it doesn't take a thug or gino to have a certain kind of attitude. anyone can be an idiot if they want to be regardless of how they are being classfied as.. gino, thug, raver, trancehead, etc.

anyways, i hope that some of you can come to your differences about all this and let this discussion just die before some people on this board get really offended and this thread ends up getting deleted or locked.

personally i think that anyone who can't stand others for no reason has problems. Everyone is different and I find all cultures including my own funny is some respect. Ever notice how some black guys walk around like they just had knee surgery. Ever notice how some white guys always laugh at everything. I mean our differences are funny and it makes us unique. Kinda like the dude I saw this afternoon on the bus with pants about 15 sizes too big, almost falling to his ankles walking around listening to rap music loud on his headphones.

all this talk about a culture and being unique... i don't see how ppl are unique when they all were the same freakin tight pants with the same sign?
i mean i must admit, i wear kappa but that's cuz i have the right to: i played soccer for 12 years.
as for 15 sizes too large, i think it's more of a fashion statement. Fashion statements don't emphasize a certain culture now a days.. it rathers emphasize a specefic stereotype.

personally, as i said b4, i might joke about the stereotype bussiness but when it comes down to dealing with the person, if they're open enough to deal with me, i don't see why i can't deal with them.

i dunno I wish I had a camera

it was one of those moments where you had to be there

I find in Toronto, we have so many cultures that we don't realize how lucky we are to interact with so many different types of people.

agreed... i honestly enjoy it for most of the time. there are gonna be ur regular clashes here and there but if we ignore these, i don't see why diversity is such a bad thing.

as far as stereotypes go, we can blame commercializm and the north american pop culture for that.
torontotrance
yup

but if you look

we have such a wide variety of ppl in this forum, it's insane the amount of diff cultures

then again you are right, it's technically the media's fault
