yeah its true.... the world cup is amazing too.. its not huge but its solid gold.. its a "world" trohpy. I hate it when say the yankees win the title.. WORLD CHAMPIONS... no your not world champions your champions of united states... anyways baseball is gay and their trophy lix ballz |

Champions League (the old format of European Cup) WAS the best.
And the English FA cup.

This would be my choice, and a biased one at that ;). The main reason being, every player on the winning team gets their name on it. That's very special. I had a chance to see it up close once. Running your fingers over it and feeling all of those names: Lemieux, Richard, Belliveau, Gretzky,... what a feeling.
As for the other North American sports...
The SuperBowl trophy: it does indeed lick balls
The World Series trophy: careful, you could put someone's eye out with that thing
NBA championship: I don't think I've ever seen an image of it, that's how much it's revered :toothless
As for international sports trophies: I find that the (international)football leagues like the classic cup look, of which I approve. I don't really consider these because they just don't evoke the same emotion in me as does Stanley. |

I totally agree with that, I live in the states and find it to be INCREDIBLY annoying. If these leagues were world-wide then they could have the right to call themselves world champs otherwise they're just league champs. Anyway my vote's for the Stanley Cup for reasons already mentioned. |

Hands down, Lord's Stanley Cup!!! Look at this thing. It's over 100 years old. You win, you get your name on it. You also get to drink wine from it.
The other crazy things youc an do with the Cup; Decorate a jello-cake, have your little baby take a bath in it, piss on it, throw it in the pool, go on a date with it. It's priceless!!! |

ok, ill let the cup of oh lord stanley win for the best trophy,...
but without a quesiton the best championship to win is the Superbowl,...
1. you only get a 16 game regular season, so every game is sooo huge
2. if you lose more than 7 times you're done, unlike baseball where you can lose 70+ games and still win the championship, basketball and hockey, same idea but about half that total
3. in the nfl, players will play with broken bones b/c they are so dedicated to their team,... but unlike baseball and basketball, they will sit out with a splinter or a bruise,... ill let hockey slide a bit b/c they do get pretty rough and get banged up a bit,..
4. once in the playoffs its do or die, every game is game #7, there are no off days, every game is put all your marbles on the table and let it ride
hockey is fruity b/c its not a national sport,.. its a canadiens and northern US sport,.. everybody below the mason-dixon line doesnt know hockey,... ok we know it but cant relate to it b/c we dont have that extensive expereince with ice and snow like you all up north do,.... its not a sport we all can relate with,.. unlike basketball 1st, baseball 2nd football 3rd and hockey 4th,... you can play basketball alone,... baseball with a few,.. football with a bunch, but hockey only when its 25 or lower (need a thick sheet of ice) and ya it hasnt been lower than 32 here for more than 40 hours in the past 10 years,.... |

Stanley Cup for sure. As has already been mentionned, the names engraved, the history involved, the passion of the players trying to win it. Nothing compares. |
