so im gonna be traveling back and forth between sumemrsschool and home wtih my tables and i have 5 needles that im carying with me. my ortofons have cases so thats nice, but my grados that only have a holder for the cartridge and not the headshell. i have been looking for tackle boxes and tool boxes that i can use for my gruvglide and wd40 and compressed air, headphones, wires etc.... but the most important thing to me is to get some sort of case for my cartridges....especially so that i can get them together. now i know of the vestaxcases and the other ones that hold like three needles....
i cant justify spending that kind of mooney onthem though and no tacklebox or toolbox works very well
so here is my idea....
i got a block of foam and carved into it basically... it seems to work well now i just need some sort of box for it
i know... i have too much time on my hands.. but what do youguys think |

| yeah i thought about that... that piece of foam was all i had so i just started cutting and it ended up looking like that lol... im thinking about modifying the idea and using insulation foam to make perfect molds...even though this works pretty well. ill see what happens, i need to find a real box to put it in first and then ill think abotu the size this is just to make it home for now. |

| I do hope that you have the plastic tips on those needles when you put them in the foam like that? |

cant you just put some tape running from one end of the foam to the other to hold them in place?
i suppose if you do this and the foam breaks then it could cause trouble! unless you put a few strips of tape round all the foam so it doesnt break!

i say why make it out of foam if u can make ur own case out of wood?
i just hope u have wood working tools :-D |
