Wasn't sure if I should jack someone else's thread or start yet another one. But for the same reasons, I'm only selling locally, can't be bothered with shipping.

$7 a piece or $200 for all of them. They're all basically brand new, only used at home and never taken anywhere.

PM me if your interested.

hey i noticed that a lotta you guys who are selling vinyl hav many of the same tracks some of which are anthemic type tunes. is it common for a lotta newer DJ's to first start off by buying up the more popular played tracks and then eventually sell them off when they move on to other genres.. ??

it seems like fantom's set that's on sale is the only one i've seen that didn't have too many highly over popular played tracks, but then again this is just my opinion .. i'm sure many of you will disagree..

absolutely true

When I start spinning I was a lot into Trance, so I bought all known tunes that famous djs spin so I can learn how to mix them together in one a month or so you kind of progress a little bit and you wanna to discover new tunes UNKNOWN, that is why most of my vinyl collections at the present time consists of WHITE labels mostly progressive house and nu school breaks stuff.

Mecha's right. When dj's start off they usually get the popular tracks like you said.

What I also think is a factor is that trance, at least uplifting, anthemic trance, seems to be more of an "entry" or "stopover" genre for many people (not only DJ's). What I mean is that once people get into trance, it opens them up to the other electronica genres, including the lesser known oness, and they eventually get exposed to stuff like psytrance, or prog, etc., and many move onto those genres.

Yep, true... that's how I started off too, collecting all the popular songs and such... but then I woke up one day, realized that all DJs are playing these songs all the freakin' time, so why not try something new, unknown? That, and I've realized that progressive/tribal that I moved onto is way more underground, and 90% of the tracks I've got in my collection are just unknown to most of the people...

Yes it is true. However just beceause a dj or other djs are playing the songs EVERY freaking time does not mean that you are required to play those same tracks nor does it mean you are required to go completely underground IF you like those tracks. I will do a combo of both. BALANCE is key because you play what people already know and love but if you also drop some unknown track in there that noone has heard of it can only serve to make your overall set explode even more. Just because someone drops anthems in their set occasionally (or throughout half of their set persay) then that doesn't make them a dj or not know what they are doing. It's only if it is CONSISTANT and they do it ALL the time that it would get annoying (at least for me...)

Balance IS the key... even though I prefer a bit more of the "unknown" than the "already heard it" stuff...
