Anyway I changed the clap, so if you wanna download it again Az, you can.

very nice track, i really like the percussion and strings, but the main lead could be a bit more phatter and louder. can`t hear it that good.
anyways, nice atmosphere and profesional feeling 2 it;)

By the way I wanted to ask you about the "cascade" effect that you have around the 5:06 - 5:13 mark, where you have those sweet delayed synth notes (are they delayed?).

Anyhow this is a very common thing in Trance and I'm just interested in learning how to program it. It's used for example in Armin - Communication. Did you set the Delay FX manually, and if so, what were the settings?

I'm using z3ta+ at the moment (a pretty cool VST) and I noticed that one of its presets is exactly this kind of cascading synth, which leads me to believe that it's probably a synth setting (??). thanks

Nice track you got there matew well done. The only thing that im not to keen on is the clap its just to weak. There's just not enough oommmph in it to really notice there is a clap if you know what i mean.

Good work though I like everything else about the track.

Thanks guys..

Eugene, tbh, I'm not quite sure what you mean.

What you can hear around the time you specified is the lead, consisting of two subtractor synths. On each subtractor, I have 1 reverb, 2 delays (one for left channel, one for right channel, offset and different timesettings to produce a stereo effect), a chorus/flanger (to add a small amount of chorus to the sound), and most importantly, 2 EQs. I think the cascade effect you're talking about is me messing around with the synths cutoff freq. and the EQ settings as it builds up.

This may help:

You can see the main lead sequenced there, and if you look at the filter frequency going up and down I think that's what you mean by cascade effect.

I'll play this :D
sounds much improved mate
another slight beef, is that the breakdown is really long, and that guitar isn't used enough in the breakdown
but I'll play it :p
