It is with huge pleasure I announce the following line-up:
SVEN VATH
CHRISTIAN SMITH
JOHN SELWAY
PLEXUS
Saturday 17th May
SVEN remains one of dance music's true characters. Over the years he has achieved a great deal and has brought many artists together within his Cocoon project. His recent collaborations with Richie Hawtin, including a recent gig in 2002 at arc and a compilation released earlier this year have recieved a lot of attention. It's fair to say the gig last year was one of our biggest shows of 2002 and remains one of the most requested nights....His mission through all these years has remained the same: 'to bring music to the masses". He remains one of the most loved and popular DJs in the world and is definitely one of our favorites at arc.
But that is not all......joinig him will be: CHRISTIAN SMITH & JOHN SELWAY. Undoubtedly one of techno's great production partneships and two amazing DJs. Whilst both are no strangers to the New York club scene it is a great occasion to have them both on the same night and both are ready to deliver...
PLEXUS will be rounding things off in the arcade bringing some twisted techy flavour to the evening.

| sven vath was in the index in one of the books i'm using for the paper i'm writing. i thought that was mad cool. ;) i've never seen him live...i hope i can make it to arc that night. |

Sven is very much hit-or-miss these days. At his monthly residency at U60 in Frankfurt he is mostly miss, playing weird stuff that might be interesting but is not really suitable for dancing/partying.
But if and when he's hit, then he's da bomb!! He can rock a place like few others. I recall his performance at Love Family Park in July 2002 where he was ing insane, banging it relentlessly for over 5 hours straight.
I recommend going to check him out if you don't know him, and of course for Smith & Selway.
Oh, and yes, Sven is crazy :D |

yup i can attest to that. 2 nights ago he was a MISS in my books. It was rediculously boring. But then again, i have a weird taste in music anyhow. I am sure tha S&S are good though. |
