Guv last night (pg. 2)

Due to pure pressure of my friend DJ EL K@Y DEE I'm going to post yet one more thread and say "WAASUP"!:D :D :D
Now the review: Every single resident night with Mark Oliver @ GUV is something so special that words can't even begin to discribe. Sure there are many talented DJ's out there (specially in the local Toronto scene) that try to create a bangin' atmosphere for the clubber and in many cases are successful in doing such a task, but the thing about the Spin resident's night is to be successful in creating a 9hr journey for the listener (2500 of them to be exact)and that's what Mark is best at..To create that journey..To look into the sea of people and watching their movement hence making a decision on what should be heard on the Phazon sound system to keep the sea moving. Was definetly a good time last night. Mark played such a bad ass set, hard electro bass, breaks and tribal seemed to be his "theme" of the night.
Rarely found enough room to dance though. Too many ppl just wandering the floor, standing or deciding to park themselves right in front of you. Probably stepped on Malek and his Girlfriend too many times trying to dance... sorry :(
Great to party with y'all but most of you left too early. A good sized group of TAs on the dancefloor rules. Had that for a bit while we watched ginos get their mack on. And shouts to Nismo and Ed the TAs at the meet up that i had not met b4. And respects to Malek for finally making it down to our town. |

Agreed. :D Mark Oliver is amazing... IMO better then a lot of international DJs i've heard... Wish every club had residents like him!

Nice to meet tat girl, malek, his gf, lkd, and time to burn(i think red shirt)...
tat girl, disappeared?? i was on stage(one by the patio doors) the whole time but didnt see you guys on the floor...or i would've thrown a lightshow or two;) i wanted to chat with you guys a bit but conversating at guv is no easy task for me...the music has total control over me

MO did it again...the dude never fails to impress the crowd! a little variation on res nights goes a long way. dirty was badass!! and for those that stayed till the very end what happend to the last track??:conf: had me dancing so hard my hands were gonna falll off but then stops all of a sudden...something not normal there... |

was cool as usual, I left because my non-TA friends, of which i more or less deserted for the evening wanted to leave (and they were my lift)... we'll do things properly this summer for sure.
i was pretty trashed, spent 60$ in alcohol over and above the pre-drinking we did before hand.
i love toronto.. and i'll be back a couple times this summer for sure.
