Hi,
when you download a song or video from this site, on my mac, it downloads them as a "songout.pl.cgi"..... does anyone know how i can convert this to a mp3 file so i can listen to it???

THANKS!!!!!!!!

Sorry, bro,
can't help you there. You know what I usually do when i can't figure out file extensions - do a search on Yahoo or something for the "songout.pl.cgi" or whatever it is you are looking for.
or just do a search for "cgi" or "songout" or something. You're bound to find something.

I can't believe none of the masterminds on this site could have hepled you up to this point!!!

OK, here's how it is.

Songout.pl.cgi is the cgi script that tranceaddict uses to direct your browser to the right file for downloading. The files are not directly linked to the web page, i.e. the link is not directed at an mp3 file. The browser sends the name of the song to the cgi script and the script returns the address of the file to be downloaded. (If you don't understand that, don't worry about it! You don't need to know.)

Don't right click on the link and select Save As, this is what is causing the problem. Just left click on the link and your browser will be redirected to the file. If you are using GetRight or whatever, right click and select Download with GetRight. This WILL give you a Save As box saying Songout.pl, but just ignore this and carry on. It WILL save the mp3, but possibly not in the directory you browse to, it will be saved in your default mp3 folder that you have configured.
