trance is one of the 5 main attractions (trance, jungle, hardcore, goa/psy, house/breaks) ...but in reality it is supposed to be the main attraction

i mean i guess its a good lineup considering the competition across the ocean...but i expected a bit more from all the hype |

i went to a WEMF '00 as a junglist...used to be a huge d'n'b head, but i dunno...i got pissed off with all the junk that was making it's way to the scene.
i think that year oakenfold and 00' fleming were there...i dunno, i have the flyer some where...fun stuff |

Doods, my opinion is this;
Ryan busts his as to put on a good show..... There is NO better value for the buck in the CAD scene. Ryan makes it happen every year with WEMF.
Dont' waste your time bitchin' and whinin' just go to the party and have fun.... If you don't go you'll miss out on some amazing tallent and a great vibe.. If I ever win the lotto I'm gonna give Ryan a chunk of cash as a thank you for all the great wemf's he's held....
Go to WEMF, support it, enjoy it.
(unfortunately I think I'm gonna be in south-dakota for holidays during wemf [dependng on my scheiße court date for "trespassing in a public place" (what a stupid law BTW)]).
If I can make it I'll be there. I hope at least 50 TAs go and show support!

Same here... i think i was more excited about last years line-up... hopefully the names that they have to add are better than what's up there now.

You guys created your own hype for WEMF, so deal with the disappointment. Although I personally don't see what's to be disappointed about, I much prefer the diversity of genres - no matter how good the DJs are I simply cannot listen to pure trance for an entire weekend, I need some jungle or breaks thrown in there.
Sorta reminds me of what I read about the Ravers Gone Wild party... everybody outside of TA loved it.
I say kudos to Destiny and TR for putting this together, and whatever other headliners show up will be the icing on the cake! |

We didn't create the hype for wemf
ive known for years that wemf is always a great experience and party with a great trance lineup
but Destiny themselves said for weeks and weeks that this years trance line up was going to be the best they've ever had
coming off of lange, pulser, yves deruyter, graham gold, christopher lawrence, etc. etc. from last year
nostrum, jon 00 flemming, christopher lawrence, fergie, etc. from 2001
oakenfold, john 00 flemming, mark eg, bk, etc. from 2000
and so on and so forth...
im not saying that the lineup is
its still a good lineup
but i can compeltely see where people are coming from when they expected more from all the hype
if nothing was said and the lineup was just released i think a lot more people would've been pleased
this is why i don't want to give into the hype for the matrix 2...i don't want my expectations to be too high :p |
