i don't think it's possible to win this game...feck, this is addicting, do you think the verbal and body language exhibited by jafar tells you if you on the right track or not?

It's fairly simple to win if you make him go first (I'm not sure if it's possible when you go first).

Rather than just giving away the answer, I'll explain how I figured it out (this will spoil the game so don't read it unless you're really frustrated!):

-> If there are 2 rows of 2 balls each, whoever's turn it is will always lose. Same with 3 rows of 1 each.
-> Logically, this means that if there is a 1-2-3 pattern (1 ball in 1 row, 2 in another, 3 in the last), whoever's turn it is will again always lose. (Try it - you will see that there is no way to win).
-> It follows from this that any similar pattern (i.e. 1-2-5 or 1-4-5 or 3-5-6) will also lose the game. Basically you want to have one row empty, two rows odd and one row even at the END of your turn (but the two odds can't be 1 and 3). So just try to get him into that situation.

The first move is the most important. I.e. if he takes away all but 1 from the last row, take away the whole first row (1-4-5). If he takes away all but 1 from the 2nd row, take out the last one from the 2nd row (3-5-6). If he takes 1 from the 1st row, take away the whole 3rd row (2-4-6, which forces him into an odd-odd-even or 2-2 situation).

Anyway, if this doesn't make sense to you, then good, 'cause you should be figuring it out on your own. :p

P.S. His words and body language tell you nothing at all.

finally...

it's winable :D

try to get it so there are three rows left, two of the rows have 1 in each, and the other doesn't matter (at the beggining of your turn) then just take it down so there are three rows with 1 ball each and he will lose.
