Repairing damaged CDs

Can anyone here recommend me any good products or techniques to repair scratches on CDs?

| i new this guy in college that had a cd buffer that buffed out scratches...i think he got it at like target or something hehehe, don't know if it worked though (see said it did). all i know is that old tooth paste and rag trick don't work...i ruined my tori amos cd doing that hehehe... |

| I've been told that freezing CD's (yup, washing them and putting them into the fridge) by different people who didn't even know each other... however, I never dared to do it, so I stick to the good and ol' alcohol (it cleans CD's better than anything else :)). |

| The skip doctor is what you want. Should be available at any major cd store. It's brought many of my scratched up cds back from the dead and perfectly playable. |

If theres still scratches on it just use it again! Its xxxcellent! Works great on any kind of cd also |

| i have the cd/dvd/game/WHATEVER doctor, just remember to keep the cd wet or else your cd won't work ever again |

how would that work?
wouldnt the cd just crack because of the ice expand when frozen thing |

| the spin doctor things actully scratch your cd more to repair them. what they do is scratch up the cd to an even amount so any other scratches are not noticable anymore. They do work well though. |

| that's all great if the scratches are on the bottom. my sasha GU013 002 cd has the tiniest scratch on the top and it's pretty much screwed... i'm so disappointed, it always skips now... |

| ive got a copy of vicioucs circles on cd thats cracked all the way throught from the ring in the middle to the outside, so there is no complete 'rings' on the cd (imagine a U shape) but it still plays perfectly!!! |

| Have you tried mytholated (sp?) spirits ? My dad use to clean he's damamged laser disc's with it and it seem to worked fine? :) |
