Possible problems with DJM-600

hello all, was wondering, my second week with the DJM and theres a faint smell of something... along the lines of something burnt, or oil of some sort... I was wondering if its something maybe to to with the power? *shrug

any help would be appreciated... :(

The 600 gets really hot make sure you have enough air flow and nothing is obstructing the air vents on it. other then that i dunno. you could always exchange it to be safe and say its broken if your exchange period isn't up yet.

Thank you so much Tempestrip, its both an honor and a pleasure hearing your perspective/advice. I was an avid listener of yours when it was you mixed in the TA chat room. To my knowlage the DJM-600 could possibly, as you mentioned develop overtime a heat due to useage, though as you recomeneded, if it worsens I'll be sure to check with whom it was purchased from. Again thank you for clearing up the matter. :tongue2

If you bought it locally, I would just exchange it! A smell of something burnt is never good.
