TranceInMySoul Dunno, you could try and fiddle with the Cubase buffer size or number of buffers (in SX/L goto Device Setup->VST Multitrack). Beyond this I can't really comment because I haven't got HALion. You might also consider the upgrade to HALion v2 which has just been released, you never know, they may have improved the disk access??? If you want disk drive performance you need a RAID array (i.e. more than one drive) - but you need hardware that supports that, and you need two drives. Many modern motherboards have RAID support, so it may be an option - read your system documentation! Without RAID you just need a disk drive that can seek quickly and transfer data fast.
