If you're a trance DJ and want to start spinning Happy Hardcore, you don't need to buy new records....
Just get a few nice vocal tracks together, and if the record is @ 33 rpm, play it at 45rpm. If it's @ 45, play it @ 78rpm.
Now before you can say, "Hamster Dance" you're filling the club with tunes that would make Alvin and the Chipmunks on Helium :nervous: :nervous: jealous.
:toothless :toothless :toothless

I Happy Hardcore :D
It's blatantly under-rated (sp?): happy hardcore is by far one of the most original kinds of music there was. I reckon some tracks were beyond the limits of cheesiness but it was all about getting a new concepts and experimenting on elements not turning the track into something boring or too cult. It was all about fun after all. There are some hhc tunes that are really worth it, and if trance producers payed attention to them, trance would evolve to something a lot better than it is today ;) Hopefully without the cheese, although some cheese is not bad at all :toothless |

As long as it's called Dune - Hardcore Vibes/Are You Ready To Fly it's fine by me :)
(also Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - Wonderfull Days/Together In Wonderland) |

id agree a lot of earlier happycore was cheezy but theres been some good tunes comin out lately that I like a lot more than a lot of vocal trancers... DJs Cris E Manic, Lukozade, & Uplift have made some great tunes like "Dawn of Creation" & "Hard Jam" & "The Flight" on Raw Elements.. all very uplifting and KFA have some great breakbeat happycore releases as well.. not to mention Scott Browns countless quality releases and the releases on NextGeneration/Blatant Beats...
its kinda funny cause when you read interviews with various happycore producers, in a lot of the interviews they ask what direction do you want to see the happyhardcore scene going to... and most surprisingly say a lot less cheeze! l8ers :p |
