I think you're thinking of ghetto house/booty house... that's not the case with all hard house... |
...not saying it's the case with all hard house, but Tony De Vit's GLobal Underground "Tokyo" disc has plenty of tunes with those funny voices. Still a good disc though.:)
I can see why hard house and trance (especially hard trance) would mix well together. I find the drum sounds are similar and they are both around the same bpm..although HH is probably faster for the most part. |

I think it can be fun
just depends on the tracks
most of it gives me the vibe that you have to take a mashy E to enjoy it
but for me it depends on the tracks
I prefer Hard techno, Hardcore and Hard Trance |

There are parties in TO that are geared towards that style of music. who ever said it is right though... you won't get a gig in a TO CLUB playing UK Hard House, NRG, Hard Trance...
if you wanna hear the good stuff you have to really look for it in TO.
Myself and Jubilex play some UKHH on our www.djshows.com radio show every sunday from 4-6pm. Other than that there will be a plethera of Hard Trance and Uk Hard House at the 160 Club this sat. for $10. the head liner is S4 from ottawa, who is signed to NU Energy (UK).
I don't want to sound like i'm trying to get people out to our gigs, but if you interested in a different trance sound then i thought i'd let you know.
I've been waiting for someone to bring in BK from the UK, but i am pretty sure he's booked into 2005, like alot of big name uk producers!!! :) |

^^^^
you're right about BK.
we enquired about bringing him in for one of our events and he was booked solid for about 3 years!
if you like UK Hardhouse - you can also check out a night we do on the second Saturday of every month at Audio Werks. We have had the night for about 2 years now and it started out being called "There's No Place Like Hardhouse". June's event takes place June 14th and is called Ravewerks.
:)
Also - if you keep listening to DJshows.com on Sunday's, right after dB's shows - you will hear mine called Chick It Out -where you are garaunteed to hear at least 1 hour of UK HH. :)
I love UK Hardhouse - love playing it and can't wait to start producing my own - that and Hard Trance. :)
cheers,

| it's nice to see that there truly is a love for hard nrg music on this forum...such a good change from all those ty progressive debates. personally, i would die at the chance to see djs like kevin energy, phil reynolds, nick sentience, paul glazby, and steve blake here in canada. and for some classic hard house, try tony de vit - i don't care (all i can think of right now.) |
