Well i hated the movie....

I enjoyed the movie but feel it could have been better. They filmed the short tunnel scene and the highway scene in my home town of Alameda :tongue2 . They did the highway scene in the Alameda Navy Base. You can see SF in the background during some of the highway scene shots.

Just to clear up this whole 'them from the Rock' bit in this post, Hanz Zimmer originally composed the classicaal, original version in the film, Airbase then remixed/made it into a trance track which is the trance version, and is not featured in the film, obviously. Its been aruond on MP3 for months and months, and finally has been allowed clearance to come out, on EMT Design. Name might be changing to Ozone-Rock, rumoured...

Gotta see this film, Matrix owned!

Famous drum and bass producer DJ Hive was asked to do a couple of tracks for this movie but they all got rejected because they were too dark and complex for mainstream audiences. :o They will be released in July though :)

quote:
According with Drum & Bass Arena :

Commissioned by the people behind Matrix to write a song for the movie, Hive promptly did – now it is to appear on his Violence imprint.

Dropped by the producers of the film, this hasn’t put Hive off releasing it himself, nor has it affected the tune’s popularity amongst drum & bass’ luminaries.

Hive 'Neo' / 'Gemini' VIO008. Out in July.

In other work, Hive has remixed Bad Company’s ‘Hysteria’ for Dieselboy’s label, Human and has joined with Echo to remix ‘Glue Sniffer’ for Commercial Suicide.

Echo also has a track ready for Violence late in June, ‘Out Of Time’ / ‘Solaris’ VIO007, follows Hive & Keaton’s late May 'Death Threat' (VIO005) and June’s Gridlok -'Vampire' / 'Aggressor' (VIO006).

An EP, ‘ULTRAviolence’ is being locked down to tail the summers’ releases.

VIO009
Hive & Gridlok 'AC/DC'
Kaos & Expanse 'Machine Language'
Klute & John Tejada 'No Trust (Kemal remix)'
UFO! 'We Aim'

I saw Reloaded on Saturday and i thought the movie was great except for the ending sucked. Left me hanging too much. The Fluke - Zion tune was great i felt like that scene was just like a big ass rave or sumthin and everyone was on E. The movie was sooooo cool though.

The highway scene cost like 40 million on its own. To shoot the highway scene they built their own little strip of highway just for the scene.
