Alternatives to Kazaa (pg. 2)

| I'm not sure if I understand how Soulseek works. I was able to get on last night, but wasn't able to search for much/download anything. Is there something I need to do to be able to start sharing files? The slsk.org forums didn't seem to help me out that much. Thanks. |

Slsk is incredible for all forms of electronic music... except Trance. There is a very small amount of Trance there. It's really good for everything but that though.
For the trance, nothing will beat DC(++). Oldo's, and if you've signed up, the EMC. Get in there, and you can get anything. |

You're kidding about Soulseek, right? I've found that it's excellent, especially compared to Kazaa which has nothing that's current. I guess everyone has their own experiences. |

| get soulseek, just download the black search results because sometimes there are over 100 people on que for a certain person which will cause you to have to wait a while before your download starts. but i have it and ive found it pretty good....20X better than kazaa |

Bittorent is good for getting the exact movie or any other file u want as opposed to the many renamed files on Kazza.
I am on dsl and most of the time when downloading movies using the expiremental client my download speed is around 5kbs while my upload speed of the file at the same time is 20-25kbs, while I am all for sharing and it is the only way that the bittorent or any other p2p community can exist, it seems to take forever to get the file and by the time i have downloaded 700mbs I will have uploaded maybe 3 times as much ie 2.1 gigs etc.
Just my views on bittorent atm |
