I talked to marco again about this last sunday. So i asked him how things were going with his 3rd earth remix. He said he had completed it, but was not fully statisfied with the result. So he told me that he was going to remake it this week. And to encourage all of this, he showed me the CDR (why is he spinning it from cdr while trippennuts has an vinyl?) and he said there was only 1 copy of that cdr.....
And by the way, he played the remix that night to let me and my mates judge the track. And we think it rocks, but marco can do better......

And this wasn't all happening when trippenuts didnt show of his 'things he doenst have'. He started all of this bull. He claimed to have the thing before marco even started! :haha:

never realy liked marco v songs, only simulated was any good
cant see why people are so excited about this

I agree with you about this remix hype! Hey it is just a Marco V Remix and not his own production which are worth the hype :D :p

I love the majority of marco v stuff, only one i didn't like at all was godd, not into tech style-tribal stuff as a rule (the best i can describe his style) but think he's a good producer, Love his basslines, but only feel his rmxs stand out when there's a definate main melody (ie cafe del marco)
As with the majority of his remixes his distinctive bassline stands out in this one, I wasn't too keen on it, and did think that it sounds too much like the original, more of a rework than a remix. I was fairly spanked at the time, as it was matt's last tune of the nite, all i know is that i heard it and was standing rite next to him when he put it on the decks (was talkin to him briefly bout 'day one' - az can vouge that i manage to get into the dj booth @ my local club ;) ). Heard the marco v style bass and then the 3rd earth melody. What i'm trying to say is that it didn't stand out to me, maybe i'll be able to apprieciate it more when i hear it 'nonspanked'.
I didn't like it (at the time) 5/10 at most

- Is it worth to be called a Marco V Remix? NO
- as a rule not into his style, love productions like simulated, indicator, atlanta, clocks, cafe del mar, recovered, in charge etc etc. as mentioned, not too keen on godd, or c:/del.. (both of which are average imo) |
