excuse me?
a) "if they were good songs you would've heard them" ? so I'm guessing u like top 40 then? You are a troll.
b) I think you need to grow up and take appreciation from the fact that there's a lot more to electronic music than just trance. Sure some of it might not take your fancy, but enclosing yourself in a genre of music wouldn't be all that interesting would it?
crasher:kid if you feel you can appreciate more than trance, then I would go and see Zabiella. Hell even if you can't, go and see Zabiella for his skill at least.
I unfortunately have decided against seeing Zabs coz of Uni exams.
However I look forward to seeing LTJ Bukem, Makoto & Stacey Pullen later in June. |

hehe, yeah that pic is pretty true nowadays. Yeah, bit harsh i know, but its my opinion so yeah... :toothless
I'm not enclosing myself in a genre as some of u may think, i'm very open minded, but not much prog appeals to me. Perhaps a few of you can point me in the direction of these prog songs which you cream over?? Who know's i may like them. :conf:
And, remember this is tranceaddict, so you have to expect comments like this. :D |

canbs and Sydney
well worth it!!
Renaissance it is for me...
xxx;) |
Helen knows where it's @.
Renny gets my vote. Most of Slinky lineup is hard as fcuk(as hard as last night and man I can't do that again), so I'm no really going to enjoy that too much anyhow. Signum yeah that'd be pretty cool, but it's a whole night I'm out for more so then one act.
Renny has a MASTER of progressive who's not just playing a set, he's building a style and flow with awsome technique. Awsome scratching (in prog!!!).
Crasher, I suggest coming down 2 renny and trying a new spice of life :)

some more prog, old and new, which has the same effect that trance has (..had :nervous: ) on me:
Sander Kleinenberg - My Lexicon
Sander Kleinenberg - Sacred
Sander Kleinenberg - Buenos Aires
Natious - Amber <-- Sasha live @ Homelands 99
Depeche Mode - Only When I Lose Myself (Lexicon Avenue Remix)
Depeche Mode - Free Love (Deep Dish Mix)
Amber - Anyway (Steve Porter Mix)
.....that should be plenty :) |

took a listen to a few of these while doing some homework, and its not too bad to have on in the background. trance distracts me too much. Good how its not typical buildup / breakdown like trance is most the time. However dont know what hearing it live would be like... |

this is what it would feel like for you hearing out live:
you would be moving along nicely, bobbing your head to the beat thinking "hey this isn't so bad, be good when it builds up to something faster though" but you would be let down. a while later you would hear another track thinking "hey this is alright nice melody", wait for it to build up and be let down again. you would hear another track, think "hey nice beat, but i wonder when its going to get faster" and you would be let down, again. :)
but some artists to check out are luzion, lemon8 and blackwatch, don't think you can go wrong with them. |

thats exactly how i felt at sasha last year jules!
most of it wasn't bad stuff but i just wanted it to get a little faster or have a bit more energy. thats why mark james and j00f i think are great, playing progressive but eventually building up. i mean i just got a j00f set which i just listened to, i think its ing awesome, goes from "James Harcourt - Diaspora (Luke Fair mix)" which is more proggy to some crazy psy trance near the end! its brilliant! search for this on the hub:
john 00 fleming - nightlife (id&t radio) 22.05.2003.mp3
you won't regret it!!!
hehe and about my avatar, the doctor is back by popular demand. well by hybrid junkie's sisters demand at least... ;) |
