I got to say
Global underground series is really underrated...
Ministry of sound series does have some really great ones in the past but the albums now are crappy 3 min disco techno hard banging ..
GU has the essential ingredients
1)Deep,dark mysterious tunes
2)Unique artist
3)Unbelivable beats |

it's the most famous mix-compilation series in dance music, and for a good reason. |

GU is not widely known. The 'real' music lovers know how to get their hands on the series, but the average listener probably doesn't even know of its existence.
MOS is more known because of the 'Clubber's Guide To...'. Also the album titles have the words Ibiza or Aiya Napa in it. That attracts more buyers. |

| So, in other words, GU relies more on content while MOS relies more on gimmicks? I would be in agreement with that but now I see them coming out with all these "limited edition" packages with "Travelogue" CD-ROMs and those slightly more expensive "Longbox Editions." Whatever, they're still nice to own and I'll still buy them 'cause the music kicks ass. On the other hand, I think they should focus more on bringing in new artists and genres. |

I agree with you. There's no commercials on the telly for the GU series so it's impossible for the ordinary joe to know that it exists.
The MOS session, however, is shown on the commercials every 15 min. |
