trance[]control-fan looks like you are another old school 2D shooter fan like myself! Nothing beats these types of games. Its a shame they are not bigger here like they are in Japan. I can't wait for Gradius V and hopefully, R-Type Final. Also check out DoDonPachi Dai-Ou-Jou if you have not already. There is a review of it here with screenshots:

Did you ever played Gradius Gaiden for the PSX? That is probably my favorite in the Gradius series.
And yes like Infinity said check out Ikaruga if you have. Freakin amazing! |

Hell yeah man I couldn't agree more! I had a mint copy along with many other kickass Saturn shooters but about 2 years ago when I lost my job, I had to sell my entire Saturn collection! :( I got 190 bucks for Silvergun alone! Maybe someday I can get them all back. |

I was addicted to it for either megadrive master system or snes, i forget which it was on here lol, spent hours playing it, and if i remember right it had cool music too ? |

Yes!! Ikaruga is the bomb!!! Its the sequel project for Radiant Silvergun (RS2 Project), though the game has nothing to do with the first one, its just so damn good!! |
