Have any of you peeps played on both? I have played on the 1200's many times. I recently bought some TTX's 3 months ago. I straight up love them. Huge amount of torque. Nice and heavy. The key lock works like a charm. Now the reason why i chose the numarks over 1200's. I play a lot of funky breaks and Hip Hop, as well as a bit of trance. Now since i play mostly breaks and hip hop, i love to scratch, so the optional straight arm works great. Plus i can really pitch records up ,or down. They feel very solid and look great. So, what opinions you peeps have?

I havent played on that numark but looking at the specs I would have chosen the numark, just because the technics model is outdated(model hasnt changed in 25 years.:p )

I've played on both, and my mixing is much better on the TTX1's than on the 1200's. They are superior to the 1200's in every way, the only reason people still stick with technics is cuz they've been around for years and they'll be what you have to play on in clubs. That will soon change, however;)

gotta disagree, dont like the torque control on the Numarks at all and ive found other numark users have found problems with the drive motor after not long, meanwhile the techs are evalastin.......mine fell down a flight of steps and remained undamaged :D

i must say I don't like the torque either, it's like 300 for Tech's and 800 for the Numarks. I mean they're good decks, but that is way to much torque for me....i feel like if I let go of my record it will go flying :stongue: .
But just play on both and buy the ones you like. I personally like tech's but..I don't mind playing on any tables :tongue2 |

Sorry if I made it sound really black and white, they are both great decks, and its not like I can't mix well on technics, because that is certainly not the case. I personally prefer the NuMark's, but I've only been spinning for 2 years. I guess if I had spent 10 or more years mixing on technics, I might feel differently.
