Sounds mike used in the new push remix.

is it me or has he really devovled his sounds, like when you hear the bassline doesnt it just sound way to basic, and the main lead too, the synth on it seems very basic too.

also some of the effects r recycled from live another life.

that coupled with the semi recycling of the legacy melody, i think mike is getting more lazy, even though he still comes out with great tunes (love angel, live another life) at the same time, i find this wierd.

i also felt this way about his back to cali remix when it came out, yet only a little while later he made tranceformation which is great!

was wondering if anyone else noticed this?

i think it all depends on the time he has available.. when he has to do a remix on a very short notice, i think it's only normal.. same goes for tiesto, for instance.. you often see him produce mediocre tracks and remixes, but then all of a sudden he comes up with a stormer.. i don't think it's because the producer's lazy, i think it has a lot to do with the deadline..

btw, you must admit it's a great track for having used rather basic sounds.. ;)

Yes, I definitely noticed the bassline. While the remix is good otherwise the bassline (that sounds like a fruityloops preset) is really horrid and completely brings the tune down...

you got to remember that artists dont make any publishing or royalties from a remix on someone elses tune. its just a flat fee. why should a producer put his best sounds into a remix when he could save them for his original work. instead he may just use melodies or sounds that have defined that production name in the past and combine them with the original he's remixing. and as theres no where near as much money in remixes these days i think something like the nrc remix is great value...

I dont know...I know they're all rehashed sounds, and he's definitely used them before, but I actually like the track. The synth and notes of the main melody are reminiscent of The Legacy, but I dont mind that much. About the bassline - it is a bit basic I definitely agree with that, but again thats probably due to deadlines and stuff like that.

Overall Im a fan of the tune though.

I've never been a Push fan, and its mainly because of his basslines, they do sound really basic and uninspiring.

belgian bonzai & demons - even if he doesnt have much time or doesnt want t use any of his new good sounds i would of thought he would use his other bassline he has used before rather than make a new really amature sounding one :conf:

tbh mike kicks + basslines have always been fairly crap imo, live another life was the first one i really liked

if u listen very carefully, u'll notice it is exactely the same one as in live another life and love angel, he's just used a slightly different pattern and a different kind of reverb..
