| I'm gonna start DJ'ing parties and stuff in my area, but the problem is that i'm unfortunately gonna be a CDJ. The reason is that i'm doin it as a job, and kids around here will listen to some good trance/house at a prty, except if i play it all night long they'll tell me to, "Stop playing that techno crap." And, the problem is that mainstream music doesn't come out on vinyl in mass amounts like elctronica. Sooo...i was wondering if anyone else was a CDJ, and what kind of gear would you recommend. Also, is it sooooo bad to be a CDJ???? |

| You could do worse, besides, all the big trance DJ's these days have to mix some CD's into their sets to play all the new promo's for their label. As for equipment, I can't really help you, but at the last TA meet-up I was at, I think a good 50% were spinning CD's, so someone I'm sure will help you out. |

... try asking your question in the DJ Booth forum; they know a lot about this stuff, and you can find a sticky about the pro/cons of cdjs...
... i'd go with a nice set of pioneer 800s (cheaper than the 1000s and almost the same)... |
