Ok, its friday and usually by now im in a A+ mood but oh no:
Firstly I ordered 2 records on wednesday which were meant to be delivered the same day and now its friday. Ive tried ringing them, emailing them and nothing. No answer. The site is even screwed - www.dotvinyl.com is the site BTW> I really wanted these tunes for tomorrow night and now i dont know what to do. Are they for real? Has anyone bought from Dot vinyl before?

Secondly I live in London. Prob one of the biggest cities in the world with a huge music culture and theres feck all record shops that i can find that sell decent trance. Can't find any marco V, Darren Tate, hardly any Black Hole, a few bits from lost language and thats about it.
Ive had to resort to HMV for gods sake. If anyone knows a decent record shop down in this dirty town please let me know.

Dotvinyls quite good!
usually with juno it comes next day, but with dotvinyl its usually 2 days later.
juno and chem are better though - but occasionaly dot vinyl will have something neither juno or chem have. |

Ive used Dotvinyl before many a time. But funnly enough, I ordered something last thursday morn and its not arrived yet either..
I sent an email and got this reply..

Im pretty pissed off too, but it sorta makes me feel a bit better, knowing someone else is having the same problem as i know now its a company problem and its not just been lost in the post or something. |

| Yeha i spoke to them today, felt a bit bad as i mailed them a pretty angry email this am. But all is good my records wont turn up till tuesday which sucks as i needed them for sat night. Does anyone know where i could pick up KOTA waiting by 2moro ???!! |

ive used dotvinyl a lot in the past and they have always been very good, equal service to juno. however from what various people have told me in the past couple of months there service has been . they are using the excuse of we are moving premises for ages. they are currently taking something like 5-10 days for orders to arrive.

juno = dogs bollox
chemical = mint
replay = rather good
dotvinyl = rather strange
and there's nowt wrong with hmv, they are cheap, cheerful and often have a nice set of tunes in, especially more mainstream stuff like data/incentive/uk bonzai (when it was alive) which is only a few quid, rather than 7 or 8 elsewhere.
and i was rather confused today during geography exam, started doin wrong question, stopped and thought about 15-20 mins in, oh im stuck oops. started again, speed writing, hurt the hand off. then 2 more in extreme hand pain. the fun just never ceases. now it feels like i've been wanking all day (but only in the hand part :() |

| Well think ureslves lucky...i live in seaham and the nearest record shop 2 me in HMV sunderland now which is totall bollocks and the next best HMV is in newcastle and a lil record shop called fly records which is ok. but i have to travell about 20 mile...ergh... |

Why would anyone consider going to a record shop when you get much better choice and variety online? About the only reason I can think is that it's more expensive online, but hey, if you want the best records, get your wallet out ;)
Personally, I've used dotvinyl occasionally for over a year and their service has generally been very good. Most of the time the stuff arrives within a day or two, and I've only had to wait over a week once. |

OKay folks here's the good news .... I've been screwed by dotvinyl aswell ....... have had loads of dealings with them ..... all good ... until this shop relocation ..... ordered two choons ...waited - in the past delivery usually took 2 days(ish)... now it seems it takes months!!! ..... Did not receive records ... e:mailed, e:mailed, e:mailed, e:mailed, e:mailed, e:mailed, oh yea ... and I even e:mailed them again ....NO REPLY WAS EVER GIVEN!!! Telephone number rings out!!
Bottom line .... "Once bitten - Twice shy" .... I'll never order from them again ..... Not because I didn't receive the records but because my bank account was debited by them for the order including postage!!!!
Here's some advice .... obviously all is not well at Dotvinyl .... My advice is DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM ...... EVER!!!!!! You might even consider changing bank accounts ---- just in case!!!
