Creamfields 2003 Trip

Seeing as how awesome the creamfields lineup looks this year I'm am going to try and arrange a Creamfields 2003 trip for people in Toronto who want to go.
Before I got and spend the time trying to negotiate pricing and such I'd be interested in seeing how many people would be interested in going.
Early price breakdown looks like this: airfare (manchester C$1000 + fees), train to liverpool + taxi to creamfields (C$60), ticket to creamfields (C$105) = ~C$1200. Party favors/food is up to the person who goes. I would also suggest out of country medical insurance, and cancellation/intrruption insurance (it's cheap - maybe C$30).
Depending on numbers, I'm hoping to get the whole trip to ~C$700 + party favors/food/insurance.
This assumes a August 22 departure, and August 24 return (going to the festival and home again).
The more people who go, the cheaper things become (taxi, train, airfare, etc). If anybody has any other ideas as far as how to reduce costs let me know.
Creamfields is Saturday August 23 2003 (2pm to 6am).

After elimination of the fluff, do you still think it's worth going?

I guess to each his/her own. There are probably 3 or 4 DJs I wouldn't have eliminated from my list.
And remember, there are 8 performance areas, so this is just a sampling of the talent. |

dave clarke and umek = fluf? since when?
clarke has more dj skills than most of the progg and trance dj's combined, and he spins amazing sets!

Well, IMO, I wouldn't fly to another continent to see those DJs that I selected out. That is what I should've said..
Take no offence people!

A party isn't just about the names you see behind the TTs. chances are lots of the big name djs will be spinning at the same time so you wont be able to see PVD and AVB at the same time for example. 2 headliners for each genre is good enough to attract a large crowd.
obviously im not going cuz i cant afford it. but if i had this kind of money to travel i'd choose something like Mayday, sensation, trance energy (if they had a better lineup than this years)...the German and Dutch parties looks a lot funner than the UK ones imo |

| definatly sensation, though i hear great things about gatecrasher, cremfields, and godskitchen in the UK somehow i get the feeling the vibe is just not the same as the dutch parties (imo) i could be wrong though :tongue2 I've been to Ibiza so I know all to well about dropping huge money to go see a good DJ. It cost 50Euro to go see Roger Sanchez @ Pacha, so money as long as the night is worth it isnt too much of an issue, except for right since i have no money! Next summer its going to be Sensation and the Love Parade and possibly another tour of ibiza!! Have fun to whoever that goes to Creamfields though you're going to have a blast! |
