guys, where da F#$!&G are you all TAs??
i started chatting with Armin around 11-midnight before he even took the deck!
Armin was so cool . he was nice to show up early and spent some times with his royal fans.
HERE IS MY BRIEF INTERVIEW WITH ARMIN
rudeboy- what are planning to do with your law degree
armin- for now, nothing....but i have started my own record company, Armada and my new solo album 76 will be my last album with united label
rudeboy-your album is called 76. is it related to 1976, the year which you were born.
armin-the album is 76 mins and it just happend that to concide to the year i was borned. Also, do you know what happen in the year of 1976?
rudeboy- ahhhhhh????
armin- haha, the first apple was made in 1976.
YEAH, ARMIN IS A MAC FAN! HE IS ONE OF FEW INCLUDING ME TO USE MAC. :)
rudeboy- is DJ the greatest job or what?
armin-:) , yes, it is. i love my job.
rudeboy- do you like to be a producer more than be a DJ or vice versa?
armin- well i like both. producing GOOD TRANCE is important to me. (notice he is not afraid to use the term TRANCE) you need to produce good music so that people in the industry regonizing your talent. Just take a look DJ Remy for example, he is a living Dutch legend and he has been producing music too.
Being a DJ is also important to me coz it gives me the chance to perform in front of live audience..not just a bedroom DJ. i started DJ when i was 4 in front of my family.

armin-YEAH. it has been kept a secret.:)
rudeboy- so far, PRECIOUS AND BLUE FEAR 2003 are the only tunes that have been played in your radio show. IMO, i really like PRECIOUS.
armin-yes.
rudeboy-do you have a favorite place/venue you like to play?
armin-ahhhhhh. (a long pause) NO. I dont have a particular one. but just look at Sensation, it has already SOLD OUT. i am really excited about that.
rudeboy- what do you think of TIESTO performing in front of 25,000 people in Gelredome in Arnhem? It was first time in history a single DJ performed do a stadium concert.
armin- i think it was really great. it really gained lots of respect not only just for him but it sent a really good message to the rest of music industry in general.
rudeboy- i was really dissapointed when id-t radio stop allowing other stations to relay your radio show...
armin-YEAH, WHAT CAN YOU DO!?!:conf:
rudeboy- LASTLY,do you think that you will climb up to #1 DJ this year.
armin-NO.

IT WAS SIMPLY THE BEST NITE EVER OF MY LIFE. I DIED SO MANY SO MANY TIMES. just wish all TAs are out there to witness one of the greatest set by Armin.
this is Armin third time appearence in L.A.
the crowd knew what armin can do...and no need to re-introduce himself again, ARMIN did not have to play his old material.
ARMIN BROUGHT ALL THE NEW STUFF...I F#%$g love every track of it. his mix, simply flawless.He was in Such good spirit...!

| yup epic night...i was there man...dude in a brown shirt and had a girl with me..awesome night..not a boring track in the whole 4 hour set..i am pissed though cause i dont remember hearing ligaya,solarcoaster or calling your name... thats what u get for having a girl with ya..but all in all wondeful preformance..i wasnt a big fan of armin but now i am..A+ night..thank you armin and spundae |

| Glad you guys had fun, I'll be seeing him tonight at Spundae on Sunday(Special Spundae event) in San Francisco. Can't wait to hear his new tracks, most of the tracks listed above I already have and play 'em im my set. I hope AVB and DJ Remy not only bring down the roof, but blow the whole damn building apart, that would be something, considering 1015 Folsom is 3 stories and 5 dance floors. and of'course some of my other favs DJs, Mystre, Dyloot, and Tom Slik will give DJ Remy and AVB some help, :D :D :D |

well whats funny is both opended up with the same track..they both played inca,mistral and as the rush comes...tiesto was on the harder side..while armin was more uplifting..and dude i stood behind that class wall acouple of times..there is one girl who gave armin a hug before he came on..that was ma girl..i am sure we saw each other at some point..man post a pic so i know ur face the next time :toothless

Hey guys!!!
I posted my information on the other thread. Yeah! The best ARMIN set I've ever heard. I think I saw you rudeboy. Were you wearing white? Tranceaholic, I saw a couple people wearing brown and asked both of them. No luck!
He did play Firewall - Sincere!!! That song ownz. Did not hear Solid Globe - North Pole though. I knew ARMIN would play Motorcycle but playing BT - Flaming June (arguably the best trance track of all time) sent chills down my spine.
Next time we all meet up, I'm sending you a link that has a picture of me. It's the best way. Otherwise, I'm giving you guys my cell number. No more brown shirt, white shirt BS. Too many people wear those colors. Brown looks like black in the dark. LOL!
Next up for me, PvD in June and G&D in July!!! Both are GIANT events. After seeing spundae organize the party very nicely and GIANT not doing so well at NYE I only pray that GIANT does a better job when I'm there. Hope to see you guys there! Later. |
