Hi !
I am just trying something else than my favourite Reason...
but I can't get the FM7 to work. Cubase recognizes it as Direct X plugin and I don't know
a)how to make Cubase recognize it
b)how to make Cubase send notes to a direct plug in

Well, afaik, Cubase doesn't support DX instruments yet - it only supports DX effects.
To make Cubase recognise FM7 as a VST instrument the FM7 .dll file must reside in the Vstplugins directory (or a subdirectory under it) on your hard disk. You'll normally find that under C:\Program Files\Steinberg but if you've installed Cubase into a different directory you'll also find a second Vstplugins directory under the installation path too.
Hope that helps :)
You might need to uninstall and reinstall and it should either give you the option to install the VST instrument, or do it automatically in the right place. You'd hope so, anyway. |

| Yeah, I think I remember FM-7 asking me if I wanted to install VST vapabilities or something when I installed it. But as above said, you need to put it in the VST directory. Then just select your channel's midi output to FM-7 |
