but ive never seen it with that many ppl before, normally its pretty dull actually... |
HAHAHA yep sure, keep telling urself that :P
better still, go listen to triple M ;)
HAHAHA as for the night....eekkkk so bloody good :)
Dave- wat can i say ur the man, sad to see when we got there, that u had only 13 ppl watching and a lot of floor boards :p
Some very nice tunes, esp loved plz save me :D
As for zac curran, i dont know i havent warmed to his style yet, way too many vocals for my liking, then went in to watch duncan
But left as soon as i heard that tune by armin :p
and watched steves set which once again did not disappoint...
Argh hearing System F - Solstice with a sound system like that made me and then universal nation ARGH and time is a healer and strange world and the list goes on....
HAHAHAH it was a good night, a big thanks to all those involved and for believing in what we all love... TRANCE |

| Just a gripe and Dave man i apologise profusely but it was an emotianl saturday and i flaked it after work. But what the is dave one of the most talented Djs in melbourne playing at 1030 in front of empty floorboards? Dave can play the crowd, has the tunes and charisma to play the PTM slots, shame to see such talent wasted imo keep up good work 5am |

haha how good is dave begic!?!?!?!??!
easily the highlight of the night for me :D
insigma - open your eyes
yves dereuter - music non-stop
sunscreen vs push - please save me
perpetuous dreamer - sound of goodbye
magic impulse - exposure
agnelli & nelson - everyday :eyespop:
and one of his own tracks too!
what a champion, the floor was packed to capacity..with floorboards...but it was awesome!!!
then zac curran came on, easily the lowlight hehe :p
i thought he started off alright with 'lustral - broken' and 'velvet morning' but then vocal after vocal after vocal after vocal after vocal....and they weren't even really good vocal tracks like armin or jan johnston but just boring un-inspiring stuff. he kept dissapearing and going for walks in the middle of his set too which i thought was a bit strange...
duncan started 30 mins late or so, i think they had problems setting up or something i dunno, and that meant i had to sit through more of zac's set :p
but then he got going and twas good stuff to be heard. madagascar, gamemaster, 'the whale song', some good tunes. a couple of hiccups mixing wise but hey hes a newbie hehe :)
steve was next and he rocked as usual,
playing gems like 'yet another dub', 'nothing but crap :p', 'strange world', 'cloudwalking' and new from m.i.k.e. 'the gift - love angel'. 'silence' instantly tripled the people on the dance floor too hehe.
miss mel was up next and although we didn't stay for all of her set it was off to a good start with 'matanka - lost in a dream (push remix)', a favourite of mine.
i'd never been to the place before but i reckon it looked pretty good and the sound was good as well. probably would have stayed longer but i had to work at 9am in the morning :p
it was a good night overall and i look forward to the next one :) |

how good t'was it?!?!?
got there late and totally missed out on dave's set im afraid (shame about the timeslot, i know there's not enuff sets to go around but i honestly believe he's more then shown he can handle PTM), sounds like he didnt disappoint as per usual.
went into the sideroom expecting to hear some classic choonage, once again, i missed out as duncan had just mixed out into his last tune and would u ing believe it, the previous tune had to be the one and only Skydive!!!!
soz duncs my man, im glad you had fun up there mate, and thanks for letting me be "mr alexopoulos" ;)
then of course, steve hops onto the decks and begins to conjure up another typical breathless set, that 's just tight y'all.
i was pleasantly surprised with miss mel, she cranked it up another notch and i found her style very enjoyable. i also felt myself enjoying her in other ways too... err... never mind.
great tunes, great vibe, great nite ... 5am in a nutshell.
:) :clown: :) |

Had fun with Mangler PLaying a closing set to the remaining Asoters and the arriving Wintergayzers.....
Having the crowd clapping along with the opening bongo's to my last track (tilt- I dream...Rendevous mix) was a lifetime highlight |
|
|
| -=M=- |
| which reminds me... albert, what "trivial" song did you end up playing at the start of the set? |
